For the last 6 months or so we've been using Twitter to recommend different brews to each other.

Some of the beers we suggest are mass market - Heinken, Stella, Guinness, etc.

Some are brands I've never heard of. Like some of Leo's Brazilian microbrews or Estrella Galicia 1906.

Yeah baby! Been there last night.

And all I can say is that it was AWESOME!!!

They've been here before and the equation time + money had always been equal to "no way, you're not going", but this year I finally made it and it was the most frickin' awesome concert I've ever been to.

All the classics, all the heaviness you expect from them and a great night with a perfect weather after a month of daily rainstorms, the perfect acoustic/equipment arrangement for a concert in a stadium and a bunch of freaks singing, jumping and going crazy as if there were no tomorrow.

The opening song was Morricone's Ecstasy of Gold while the film scene was played on the big screens on the stage and the most fucking awesome moment of the concert was when they played One while gigantic fireballs exploded around the stage, creating THE feeling for the song.

And when they played Nothing Else Matters followed by Enter Sandman, the audience came down to an orgasmic feeling that I just can't explain. It was pure gold!

Mobile phone service and what you expect.

Over here in New Zealand there are two major mobile phone providers, vodafone & telecom. On the 27th of January at 11 am telecom lost service on it's network interupting all voice SMS and data useage for it's mobile customers for 3/4 of the country. It is now 11:35pm on the 28th and the service still hasn't been restored. Would you expect to see this type of epic failure where you live in 2010? Have you personally seen this type of thing happen before? I only ask because I am lost as too how such a service can be down for so long in this technological age.

Massachusetts, I owe you an apology. For years, you have been the butt of many a joke authored by yours truly. Your history of liberal thought and constitutional experimentation regularly confuses and frightens the masses. Frankly, I had given up on you and figured it just a matter of time before New York started the bitchslapping to keep you in line. You showed your balls yesterday. Today, you are second to no one. I guess it's my own fault for not thinking things through. I really thought Mitt Romney was nothing but a fluke. Window dressing. Something to distract us while you perfected your evil plan. I should have realized that there must be some businesses in your fine state. Businesses run by good people overwhelmed by the Kennedy machine and the guilt they are forced to bear for having conservative values amid a sea of liberalism. Leaders of the oppressed. Conservatives. Americans. People that vote for Mitt Romney. People that vote for Scott Brown. So, in short, I am sorry Massachusetts. And congratulations to you on the election of a young, strong, good-looking, virile conservative family man as your next senator. Truly, he is a man of the people. Still, there is much work to do. Many other states need your help; your guidance. If possible, could you please send some of your best to Illinois? It's strictly business.
